Obituary: LOIS ROBERTSON BLAKLEY

Lois Robertson Blakley, 86, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the Brian Center in Yanceyville, NC.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Sunday December 2nd, 2018 at Wilkerson Funeral Home with Pastor Roy Little and Rev. Joey Pellino officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home and other times at Teresa’s home (3309 Country Lane, Reidsville).

Mrs. Blakley was born in Rockingham County to the late Roy W. Robertson and Helen Robertson Tilley. She was employed with Eckerd Drug as an assistant druggist for several years. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She loved playing the piano and enjoyed fishing. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James William “JW” Blakley, Jr.; her brothers, Roy William “Snapper” Robertson, Jr. and Joe Pete Robertson.

She is survived by her children, Rebecca “Becky” Brande and husband, Jimmie, Calvin Blakley and wife, Norma and Teresa Willard and husband, Leonard; her 5 grandchildren; her 13 great grandchildren; her sisters, Carolyn R. Conaway and Linda R. Marshall and husband, Mike; and a large extended family.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff at the Brian Center for their loving and professional care they gave our mom.
