1 Stabbed At River Access In Stoneville After Argument Escalates
(Stoneville, NC) – Rockingham County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred on Friday June 26, 2015 at around 6:30 p.m. Deputies were called to the river access on Anglin Mill Rd in Stoneville, N.C. Friday evening to find WILLIAM COLE TRENT, 17 of Spenser, Va, suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to Baptist Hospital for treatment of his injury and was later released.
Two large groups of individuals who were visiting the river access area got into an argument which escalated, resulting in TRENT’s stabbing. Sheriff’s Investigators are currently seeking the identity of a male that goes by the name “David” who was wearing blue shorts that was there during the altercation for further questioning in this investigation.
