ARLEN RAY THOMAS
(Eden, NC) – Mr. Arlen Ray Thomas, 74, of 314 W. Kings Hwy. in Eden passed away on Tuesday evening, March 16, 2010 at Morehead Memorial Hospital.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010 at the Crestview Memorial Park in La Crosse, Virginia.
Mr. Thomas was born in Fries, Va. on Oct. 8, 1935, a son of Paris and Gladys Parks Thomas, both deceased. He was retired from Sara Lee Knit and was an excellent hunter.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammy Clark and husband Chris and Sherrie Hale and husband Brian, all of Eden; his son, Michael Thomas of Maine; his sisters, Juanita Wilkerson and husband Lynwood of Lynchburg, Muriel Smith and husband Cliff of Richmond and Linda Alford of Winston-Salem; and his nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Thomas, his sister, Lois Goad and his brother, Tracy Thomas.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Boone-Reynolds Funeral Home and other times at the home of Sherrie Hale, 221 South Jackson Street in Eden.
