ALENE MARY AMOS PIKE

(Mayodan, NC) – Alene Mary Amos Pike, 92, of 423 North First Avenue, died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at her home.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2010, at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Paul Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in Mayodan Municipal Cemetery.

Mrs. Pike was born July 21, 1917, in Stokes County, to the late Fred Amos and Annie Shaffer Amos. She was a retired employee of Burlington Industries and a member of First Baptist Church of Mayodan.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant sons and two brothers, Clavis and Bernard Amos.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Charles Pike; sons, Donald Wayne Strickland and wife, Phyllis, of Cary and Ray Charles Pike of Madison; daughter, Charlene Pike Gann and husband, Douglas “Bo”, of Mayodan; 8 grandchildren including special granddaughter, Tasha Gann, and 9 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the residence.

Colonial Funeral Home in Madison is serving the family.
