EPD Daily Blotter – January 27th 2010

  • On Tuesday, January 25, 2010, Megan Danielle Martin of 323 Summit Road reported a breaking, entering, and larceny.  According to the reporting party, someone entered her unlocked residence and stole several pieces of jewelry valued at $900.  The investigation continues.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 25, 2010, Great Stops located at 700 S. Van Buren Road reported a larceny.  According to the employee, a heavy set black male paid for $20 worth of gasoline and pumped $35.39 worth of gasoline.  The suspect left the premises operating a blue 1988 Chevy Caprice with North Carolina Registration VNR-5444.  The investigation continues.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, patrol officers responded to a breaking and entering at Piedmont & Folk Legacies located at 413 Church Street.  Upon officers arrival, two individuals were located at the rear of the business loading scrap metal.  During the course of their investigations it was determined that these subjects unlawfully entered the business for the purpose of committing a larceny.  Robert Joshua Weadon of 101 Whittbeck Drive, Madison, N.C., was arrested and charged with Breaking, Entering, and Larceny, and Possession of Marijuana.  Michael Burch Dillion of 114 Fulp Road, Stoneville, N.C., was charged with Breaking, Entering, and Larceny.  According to the warrants, Weadon and Dillion unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did break and enter a building occupied by Piedmont and Folk Legacies used as a warehouse located at 413 Church Street, Eden, N.C., with the intent to commit a larceny therein.  Both subjects also, unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did steal, take, and carry away 500 to 600 pounds of scrap metal, air conditioning units and motors, the personal property of Piedmont and Folk Legacies, such property having a value of $100.  Weadon was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $5,000 secured bond and Dillion was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.  They are scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on January 26, 2010.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, Joshua Paul Duggins of 733 Miles Street, Eden, N.C., and Matthew Lewis Duncan of 733 Miles Street, Eden, N.C., were arrested and charged with warrants obtained by investigators for Breaking, Entering, & Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property.  According to the warrants, Duggins and Duncan unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did break and enter a building occupied by Mark McCraw used as a residence located at 411 Lawrence Street, Eden, N.C. with the intent to commit a larceny therein.  They also, unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did steal, take, and carry away a box of copper wire, the personal property of Mark McCraw, such property having a value of $30.  Duggins and Duncan unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did possess the personal property of Mark McCraw, which property was stolen property, knowing and having reasonable grounds to believe the property to have been feloniously stolen and taken.  Duggins and Duncan were confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond and they are scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on February 2, 2010.

 

  • On Tuesday, January 26, 2010, Bryant Renard Fulp of 2168 Price Road, Eden, N.C., was arrested on outstanding warrants that charged him with Common Law Robbery that occurred January 25, 2010, and he was charged with Felony Larceny and Possession of Stolen Property.  According to the warrants obtained by investigators, Fulp unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did steal, take, and carry away another’s personal property, a watch and $4, from the person and presence of Chris Wall by means of an assault upon him consisting of the forcible and violent taking of the property.  The second warrant alleges, Fulp unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did steal, take, and carry away a blue in color Silver Fox Moped, the personal property of Dwayne Paul Wood, such property having a value of $1,700.  The Possession of Stolen Property warrant alleges, he unlawfully, willfully, and feloniously did possess the personal property a Silver Fox Moped knowing and having reasonable grounds to believe the property to have been feloniously stolen and taken.  Fulp was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $500 secured bond and he is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on February 3, 2010.

 

  • On Wednesday, January 27, 2010, Bobby Dean Sanders of 817 Klyce Street, Eden, N.C., was arrested on view by patrol officers for Trespassing.  According to the warrant, Sanders did unlawfully and willfully without authorization enter and remain on the premises of Morehead Hospital, located at 117 East Kings Highway, Eden, N.C., after the defendant had been notified not to enter and remain there by Ron Haymore, the person in charge of the premises, lawful occupant and authorized person.  Sanders was confined in the Rockingham County Jail under a $1,000 secured bond and he is scheduled to appear in Wentworth District Court on March 3, 2010.
