Man Accused In Reidsville Stabbing Arrested Without Incident

(Reidsville, NC) – On Friday October 6, 2017 at approximately 10:56 pm Reidsville Police Department responded to the 800 block of Summit Ave. to a possible stabbing.  When officer’s arrived they found the victim, identified as 38 year old Antwoine Simpkins of Reidsville, suffering from a severe stab wound to his chest area.  Simpkins was then transported to a local Hospital and is in critical condition at the time of this release.

Reidsville Police Department investigators located the suspect 56 year old Gerrard Bailey of Reidsville and placed him under arrest without incident.  Bailey has been charged with (Felonious Assault with a Deadly Weapon with Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury).  Bailey is being held at the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Department under a $25,000 bond.
