Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad Respond to Hwy 770/220 Accident

(Rockingham County, NC) – Members of the Madison-Rockingham Rescue Squad responded to a motor vehicle accident on November 12, 2013 at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon.

According to the information we have received at this time, the driver of the car was pinned and rescuers had to use the Jaws of Life to free him. The driver of the car, (at time of this posting, we don not have his name yet), has been described as an elderly man, who was taken by EMS to NC Baptist hospital with multiple life threatening injuries.

An Baptist Air helicopter was en-route, to aid in transport of the victim, but had to abort due to weather.
