Investigators Seek Leads Into Breaking/Entering of Vehicle At Courthouse

(Wentworth, NC) – On Thursday, February 9, 2017, while parked at the Rockingham County Courthouse between the hours of 8:45 a.m. and 1:50pm, an unknown suspect broke into a 2010 Gray in color Chevrolet Malibu and stole a purse and its contents.

The suspect was later captured on a State Employees Credit Union ATM surveillance camera attempting to access funds from a card that was in the stolen purse. He was unable to get any money during his attempt to use the stolen card. The suspect is pictured in this release.

Anyone who recognizes this individual or knows anything about this break-in/theft is asked to call Detective Ed Smaledone the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office at 336-634-3232 or Rockingham County Crime Stoppers at 336-349-9683.
