Your child will enjoy the following activities on a weekly basis: Swimming, Skating, Tennis, Library, Indoor Playground and Movie Time.

Cost for 10 weeks of camp: $250 per child for City Residents, *$275 per Child Outside the City

The Color Me Carefree 5k/1 mile walk is back again for the 3rd year in a row. This color run is for a great cause as all of the proceeds go to Camp Carefree. Camp Carefree has allowed children with chronic illnesses get to expierence a week of camp completely free. The camp also has a week for children with sick siblings and a week for children with sick parents. This camp is a great opportunities for these children and their families. Please come out and support this cause!

We will have Pizza Hut pizza, cotton candy, popcorn, homemade desserts, and more. Inside, there will be BINGO, a cake walk, a stuffed animal walk, and lots of wonderful items to bid on at our silent auction. Outside, the kids will have a blast in the “midway” section bouncing, racing obstacles, having their faces painted, and playing games to win prizes. Don’t forget to stop by our vendor section to visit some of our hometown entrepreneurs!Wristbands will be sold to cover all of the Midway activities.Wristband Cost:

• 8th Annual Run for the Roses Derby Day Fundraiser to benefit HELP, Inc. Center Against Violence

Please join us for the 8th annual Run for the Roses benefit for Help, Incorporated on May 6th, 2017. Run for the Roses is a Kentucky Derby-themed experience at Autumn Creek Vineyards in Mayodan that has been touted the première fundraising event in Rockingham County year after year. Well over 200 people attend annually to welcome spring with delicious traditional Derby food, friendly wagering, a silent auction, and a live, big screen viewing of the most exciting two minutes in sports. There is dancing afterwards, and prizes for our best dressed guests! The funds raised will go to the agency’s expansion into a Family Justice Center. Family Justice Centers serve as one-stop-shops for victims of violence. Offering multiple services under one roof will make it easier for adult and child victims to heal from trauma.

Early Detection is Key

Skin Cancer has a better than 98% cure rate if detected and treated early. All ages and races can get skin cancer making it a condition that needs greater awareness. The free skin screening is open to anyone that has not seen a Dermatologist within the last year. The free screening is open to men, women and children of all ages. Screening sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology.
