From Forrest’s Perspective: Library Board Meeting – June 12, 2017

There were about twenty-five people present besides the board members.  The meeting was mostly to discuss a new administration building or find space in one of the county’s present buildings.

Congratulations to the Republican party and the Will of the people for an outstanding job of supporting your candidates, as this is what it takes to win. With one party in charge there is a phrase that will not be needed and that is “hope the two parties can work together.” The new phrase might be “hope the two boards can work together.”

Lots of people were in attendance to speak on HB2 which has been the topic of conversation these days. Some took this time to express their feelings and ended in prayer. HB2 is probably the last thing most anyone dreamed we would be discussing. The federal government uses money to mandate what will happen to our school children.
