(Wentworth, NC) – There has been quite a bit of discussion, rumor and media coverage about the possible transfer of the Rockingham County 911 Center to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office. Sheriff Page has offered to take over operation of the 911 Center believing that his office can run the center effectively and that such change might result in administrative efficiencies. In offering this option, the Sheriff made it clear that he supports whatever decision is made by the Board in this matter.
