Eat, Read, Learn: Greens to be held Feb. 18 at MARC

WENTWORTH, NC – The Museum and Archives of Rockingham County (MARC) will host “Eat, Read, Learn: Greens” on Saturday, February 18 at 1 p.m. This program will explore the history of Southern Food and Soul Food, family culinary traditions and memories, and how foodways evolve over time.

Blacks and Post-Reconstruction Migration History Program Set for May 19

WENTWORTH, NC – On Thursday, May 19, at 7 p.m., the Museum & Archives of Rockingham County (MARC) will present a program entitled, “The Great Exodus: Exodusters and the First Great Migration,” about black pioneers who left the South and moved West after Reconstruction.

MARC Announces “RED, WHITE AND BREW” Tasting Event

Wentworth – The historic Morehead-Fair House, 420 Boone Road, Eden, NC is the site for a wine and beer tasting event, “Red, White and Brew,” benefiting the Museum & Archives of Rockingham County, the county’s history museum, on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets to the event are $25 per person for MARC members and $30 per person for non-members.

Celebration of American Music to be held at Reidsville High School March 6
