17-Year-Old Injured In Reidsville Shooting

Reidsville Police Department News Release  •  February 11, 2018  •  Admin. Lt. K. Hinnant

(Reidsville, NC) – On February 10, 2018 at approximately 8:00 PM Officers responded to a shooting in the 1100 block of Deerfield Dr. in Reidsville.  When officers arrived they found a crowd of people in the roadway and a 17 year old black male lying in the road suffering from gunshot wounds.  The 17 year old, whose name is not being released at this time was transported to an area hospital and is listed in critical condition.

After investigators arrived on scene it was determined that a disturbance had occurred earlier in the day with several subjects at another location in the city and then later ended up over at the location on Deerfield Dr.  Once at the location on Deerfield the disturbance continued in which shots were fired.  Investigators do have a person of interest in the shooting and that person’s name is not being released at this time.  Charges have not been filed at this time.  This is an ongoing investigation and investigators are attempting to locate several witnesses that were there at the time of this shooting.
